For patient survival, the effect of recipient age in cadaveric US 1994-1998 cases was less important than in previous years. At one year, the overall patient survival was 95% in recipients < 45 years old and 91% in recipients > 45 years old (Figure 13).

For pancreas and kidney survival, the effect of recipient age in cadaveric US 1994-1998 cases was less important than in previous years. At one year, overall pancreas survival was 81% in recipients < 45 years old and 78% in recipients > 45 years old (Figure 14).

At one year, cadaveric SPK kidney graft survival was 91% in recipients < 45 years old and 87% in recipients > 45 years old (Figure 15).
