Non USA Survival Rates by Category

SPK: Patient survival at one year for 1996-2000 non-US SPK cadaveric pancreas transplants (N=676) was 95%. Pancreas graft survival at one year was 84%; kidney graft survival was 88% (Figure 6). These rates are similar to US survival rates, except kidney GSR was lower compared to the US outcome. For an analysis of European cases only, all GSRs were similar to those of the US cases, including kidney.

PAK and PTA: For PAK non-US 1996-2000 cadaver pancreas transplants (N=26), patient survival at 1 year was 100% and pancreas GSR was 81%. For PTA cadaver cases (N=38), patient survival at 1 year was 97% and pancreas GSR was 54%. For PTA cases, pancreas GSR contrasts significantly from the rate of 71% for USA cases (text only).
