PAK Immunosuppression Therapy


More than two-thirds of 1996-2000 PAK recipients received one anti-T cell agent as induction. Pancreas graft survival rates at 1 year were similar when comparing agents (Figure 13). GSR differences were largely due to the BD subset. For initial maintenance immunosuppression in PAK cases, pancreas GSRs were higher in those recipients who received anti-T-cell induction with Tac/MMF. Recipients who did not receive anti-T cell induction had similar GSRs with Tac/MMF or CsA/MMF (Figure 15a and 15b). Within each maintenance immunosuppression subgroup, pancreas GSRs were higher (P=NS) in recipients who received anti-T cell induction
