Pancreas GSRs by Category & Duct Management for Tac & MMF with Anti-T cell Therapy

The highest pancreas graft survival for 1996-2000 solitary (PAK, PTA) cadaver US pancreas transplants was associated with BD duct management and Tac/MMF maintenance immunosuppression, but still lower than the GSR for SPK. For BD PAK and PTA (n=339), GSRs at 1 year were lower than for SPK, but with marginal significance. For ED PAK and PTA (n=231), GSRs at 1 year were significantly lower. SPK cases had similar GSRs at 1 year in BD and ED with this regimen. However, regardless of duct management, PAK and PTA GSRs were at least 70% at 1 year (Figure 17a and 17b).
