USA Pancreas Graft Duct Management Outcomes


By duct management technique, bladder drained (BD) versus enteric drained (ED), pancreas graft survival rates at one year for 1996-2000 US cadaveric SPK cases were BD 84% and ED 83% (Figure 9); kidney graft survival rates were BD 91% and ED 93% (Figure 10);. For solitary 1996-2000 US cadaver pancreas transplants (PAK, PTA), pancreas GSRs at one year for ED cases were very significantly lower than for BD cases. For PAK, GSRs were 67% ED versus 77% BD (Figure 11); for PTA, GSRs were 65% ED versus 75% BD (Figure 12).
