USA SPK, PAK, and PTA Patient and Graft Survival


Patient survival at one year for 1996-2000 US cadaveric pancreas transplants was at least 94% in all categories: SPK 95%; PAK 94%; PTA 98% (Figure 4). Pancreas graft survival rate (GSR) at one year for 1996-2000 US cadaveric SPK pancreas transplants was 84%; kidney graft survival was 92%. For solitary pancreas transplants, pancreas graft survival at one year was 72% for PAK and 71% for PTA. In comparison, SPK pancreas graft survival was significantly higher than in PAK and PTA groups. (Figure 5).
