Pancreas Graft Survival

Pancreas graft survival at one year for 1996-07/11/2000 US cadaveric pancreas transplants (n=4196): SPK 84% (kidney graft survival was 92%); PAK 73%; PTA 72%. The differences in pancreas graft survival in the three categories at one year were significant, but overall outcome for PAK and PTA has improved from previous eras (figure 30).

For 1996-08/01/2000 non-US cadaveric pancreas transplants (n=609), pancreas graft survival at one year was 83% (kidney graft survival was 88%); PAK 89% and PTA 54%. PTA results are significantly lower compared to the US PTA rate of 70% (Figure 31).
