Total Number of Pancreas Transplants

As of August 2000, nearly 14,000 pancreas transplants have been reported to the IPTR as shown in Figure 25. These include over 10,000 performed in the United States and over 3,000 from outside the US. Pancreas transplant cases in 1999 reported as of August 2000 totaled 1524: 1276 US and 248 non-US. Reported cases were included in analyses where complete records were available.
