Patient Survival

Patient survival rates for primary transplants at one year for 1997-10/10/2001 US cadaveric pancreas transplants (n=4814) were at least 95% in all categories (Figure 37): SPK 95%; PAK 95%; PTA 97%. For non-US 1997-2001 SPK primary cadaveric pancreas transplants (n=1649), patient survival at one year was 94% (Figure 38); PAK (n=27) 100%; PTA (n=50) 97%.
