Total Number of Pancreas Transplants

As of August 2001, more than 15,000 pancreas transplants have been reported to the IPTR as shown in Figure 27. These include over 11,000 performed in the United States and over 4,000 from outside the US. Pancreas transplant cases in 2000 reported as of August 2001 totaled 1661: 1346 US and 315 non-US. Reported cases were included in analyses where complete records were available.
