Non-US Survival Rates by Category

SPK: Patient survival at 1-year for 1996-2002 non-US SPK cadaver primary pancreas transplants with complete records for analysis (n=2163) was 96%. Pancreas graft survival at 1 year was 85%; kidney graft survival was 91% (Figure 4). The pancreas rates are 1%-2% higher than US SPK rates, while kidney GSR was not significantly different compared to US outcome (92%). PAK and PTA: The number of solitary (PAK, PTA) transplants reported from outside the US is very low, so only limited analyses could be done. For PAK non-US 1996-2002 cadaver primary pancreas transplants (n=39), patient survival at 1 year was 95%, but pancreas GSR was 73% vs. 76% for US cases. For PTA cadaver primary 1996-2002 non-US cases (n=68), patient survival at 1 year was 97%, while pancreas GSR was 51% vs. 77% for US cases.
