Non-US Survival Rates by Category

SPK: Patient survival at 1-year for 1999-2003 non-US SPK DD primary pancreas transplants with complete records for analysis (n=1,833) was 98%. Pancreas graft survival at 1 year was 89%; with kidney graft survival 94% (Figure 4). All survival rates are slightly but significantly higher compared to US outcomes.

Non-US SPK Patient and Graft Survival

The number of solitary (PAK, PTA) transplants reported from outside the US is very low, so only limited analyses could be done.  For PAK non-US 1999-2003 DD primary pancreas transplants (n=55), patient survival at 1 year was 100% and pancreas GSR was 88% vs. 79% for US cases. For PTA DD primary 1999-2003 non-US cases (n=80), patient survival at 1 year was 99%, while pancreas GSR was 66% vs. 78% for US cases (Figure 5).
