USA Pancreas Graft Outcomes by Induction Therapy

Pancreas GSRs in 1999-2003 US DD primary pancreas transplant recipients who were given Tac+MMF for maintenance therapy were analyzed according to antibody induction used: none; depleting antibody; non-depleting antibody; both (depleting+non-depleting antibodies). The use of no antibody for induction has decreased from 1998 to 2002: 39% to 21% SPK; 37% to 25% PAK; 27% to 22% PTA. Induction therapy analyses for recipients given TAC+MMF were done for each of the major recipient groups: SPK, PAK, PTA.
