Pancreas graft survival rate (GSR) at one-year for 1999-2003 US DD SPK pancreas transplants was 84.7%; kidney graft survival was at least 91.6%.  For solitary pancreas transplants, GSR at one-year was nearly equal: 78.5% for PAK and 78.2% for PTA. At 3 years, GSRs were at least 63% in all categories (Figure 5).  Immunological graft loss rate at one year remains significantly lower for SPK at 1.8% (p<0.0001), than for solitary transplants (PAK, PTA) (Figure 6). But solitary immunological graft loss rates continue to decline from about 23% in 1987-92 era to 5.2% for PAK and from 28% in 1987-92 to 6.6%.
