Patient Survival


Patient survival rates at one year for 1999-05/15/2003 US primary cadaveric pancreas transplants (n=5140) were at least 94.9% in all categories (Figure 24): PTA 98.4%; SPK 95%; PAK 94.9%. For non-US 1996-5/15/2003 SPK primary cadaveric pancreas transplants (n=1563), patient survival at one year was 96% (Figure 25). There were insufficient solitary pancreas data for mid-year analysis by category.
