Total Number of Pancreas Transplants

As of June 2003, more than 19,600 pancreas transplants have been reported to the IPTR as shown in Figure 21. These include over 14,300 performed in the United States and over 5,300 from outside the US. Pancreas transplant cases in 2002 reported as of June 2003 totaled 1875: 1417 US and 458 non-US. Reported cases were included in analyses where complete records were available.
