FOR US 2000-2004 CASES
HLA matching effect was analyzed for PTA, the category where historically the impact has been greatest. For US 2000-2004 TS primary DD PTA cases, there was no statistically significant difference in rejection loss rates according the number of HLA A, B mismatches (MM). However, for the few HLA A, B zero MM grafts, none failed during the follow-up period, while even those with 1 A, B MM had a relatively high rejection rate (Figure 24). Thus, except for zero mismatch, there was no difference in either short or long-term graft loss rates according to the number of A, B mismatches by univariate model. In the multivariate model, however, two HLA B MM were associated with a HR of 2.17 (p=0.09) for immunological graft loss (see Table 8 on the previous page).
