Pancreas with Kidney Different Donor


US CASES

About 2% (67) of 3,841 2000-2004 US primary SPK transplant recipients received their kidney graft from a different donor (PwK).  Most of these transplants (97%) were living donor kidney with deceased donor (DD) pancreas.  There were no significant differences between SPK and PwK in patient, pancreas or kidney survival at 1 year.  Patient survival: SPK 95%, PwK 98%, p=0.30; pancreas graft survival: SPK 85%, PwK 81% p=0.6; kidney graft survival : SPK DD kidney 92%, PwK LD kidney 93%, p=0.98.
